Days 1 to 3 As per AT53 - Kruger National Park Safari

Day 4: Hoedspruit to Natal.
An early departure to travel via Nelspruit and Barberton to the Jeppe’s Reef border post. Enter Swaziland and travel through the Kingdom of Swaziland via Mbabane and Manzini. Your guide will select the best stops en-route. Exit Swaziland late afternoon through the Golela border post to the Hluhluwe Nature Reserve in Kwazulu-Natal. Stay overnight in Hluhluwe.

Day : Hluhluwe- Umfolozi Nature Reserve.
After breakfast depart on a 4x4 safari in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Nature Reserve where a large variety of game and birds are to be seen. The afternoon is reserved for a visit to the St. Lucia estuary for an opportunity to see crocodiles, hippos and scores of wading birds. Pelicans and Flamingos are to be seen here throughout the year. Another opportunity for game viewing on the way back to overnight in your Hluhluwe lodge.

Day 6: Natal Battlefields.
Today’s route takes us past Vryheid for a visit to the Blood River monument which commemorates an historic battle between the Boers and the Zulus in 1838. Thereafter on to the other Natal battlefields, including those of the Anglo-Boer war. Relive the history of each battle as your guide takes your mind back a hundred years.

Spend the evening in a guest house in the Natal midlands.

Day 7: Hluhluwe to Estcourt.
Travel to the town of Estcourt to learn more about the Zulu culture. Visit a Zulu kraal and experience the past and present way of life of this proud nation of warriors. A unique opportunity to spend the night in a Zulu kraal.

Day 8: Estcourt - Durban - Cape Town.

Follow the N3 national road past the Midmar dam and Pietermaritzburg to the coastal city of Durban. Say goodbye to your guide before catching the connecting flight to Cape Town. On arrival at the domestic arrival hall at Cape Town International Airport you will be welcomed by your guide in the “Mother City” and taken to your guest house or hotel.
