Day 1: Johannesburg to Sun City.

On entering the International Arrivals hall at Johannesburg International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide who will assist you to convert cash or traveler's cheques at the best rate. Last-minute purchases of film, batteries, sunscreen lotion, etc, can also be done here.

Time permitting, visit the Voortrekker monument near Pretoria, which was inaugurated in 1938 to commemorate the Great Trek of 1838 into the interior. Resume the journey past the platinum mines to Sun City - a dream created out of practically nothing by one of South Africa’s great entrepreneurs.

Join a guided tour of the “Palace of the Lost City” before exploring the rest of this wonderland on your own. Dine in one of the restaurants in an idyllic setting and explore at your leisure.

You can even try your luck in the casinos before turning in for the night.

Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park. (Malaria-free)
After a gourmet breakfast, a five-minute drive takes us to the Pilanesberg National Park adjoining Sun City. We pick up a map and follow our noses through the park, stopping now and again to exchange news of game sightings with other visitors. Return in the early afternoon when most animals take a siesta. Lounge around the pool area, play a round of golf, take a jetski or a parasail ride - the choice is yours. Join a night game drive just before sunset where the game ranger will introduce you to the park’s nocturnal dwellers - possibly even a leopard.

Enjoy a late dinner before turning in for the night.

Day 3: Sun City - Johannesburg - Cape Town.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departure to Johannesburg. En-route we stop at one or two interesting wayside stalls selling a wide variety of fruit, nuts and other goodies.

Say goodbye to your guide and board the aircraft for Cape Town.

On entering the domestic arrivals hall at Cape Town International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide who will take you to your hotel or guest house. Dinner at your lodgings unless otherwise arranged.
