Township and "Bo-Kaap" Tours - "African Culture"
These not-to-be-missed half-day tours are conducted by a colleague with an intimate knowledge of the past and present-day life in the Cape. Here you have the choice between two different tours.
Daylight tour.
The tour commences with a guided walk through the "Bo-Kaap" with it's colourful houses, well-kept mosques and friendly people. Next is a visit to "District Six", followed by an excursion to a Township, with an opportunity to interact with the hospitable local people.

Evening tour.
On this tour you will experience the vibrant life in the townships. The events
commence with an awe-inspiring Drumming Circle, carried out by members of
the Xhosa tribe. While you enjoy your dinner of traditional Xhosa dishes,
you will be entertained by a tribal choir. After dinner, visit an authentic
"shebeen", an African-style pub where many locals in the township often meet
after work. You will have the chance to meet and interact with the local people
and also share in their entertainment.
